Tax Accountant w/ Advanced level of English

Our client is a well-known company providing industrial gases for the manufacturing sector. From food packaging to eco-buses, their gases improve everything from the quality of our food to the air we breathe. The company has offices all over the world, and in Barcelona, they have a shared service center with over 300 employees from all four corners of the globe spread across three departments: Customer Support, Supplier Service, and Liquid Bulk: Logistics.

Principais Responsabilidades

  • Ensuring that the corporate income tax balances under US GAAP and Local GAAP are correct and that legal requirements related with income tax are compiled by the assigned the companies
  • Being responsible for both the monthly accrual and the year-end close provision in current and deferred tax accounts
  • Preparing the assigned tax balance sheet reconciliations on a regular basis in line with company policy and deadlines, including all the pre-work
  • Being the contact person for tax advisors in order to provide them with all the information and supporting documents to fulfill corporate income tax returns & payments on account
  • Actively participating in case of a CIT Tax Audit
  • Giving support on CIT questions within the organization

Competências-chave / experiência

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance (or similar qualifications)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in accounting, preferably in the corporate tax department
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP and local GAAP
  • Proficient user of SAP and MS Excel and Access
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interact with all levels within the organization
  • Strong communication skills, as it is expected to work independently with multiple functions and senior management
