Our client is a world leader in providing sophisticated automated manufacturing systems located in the beautiful city of Porto.

Main Responsibilities

  • Handling processes in Accounts Payable, including AP invoices and Expense Reports analysis and verification and correct input in SAP
  •  Request approval for AP invoices and Expense Reports as necessary, ensuring policy and procedures are followed
  •  Fixed Assets Registry, including acquisitions, disposals, write-offs, revaluations and depreciation
  •  Perform Journal Entries and month-end accruals and provisions for AP, Fixed Assets and GL areas.
  • Prepare account reconciliations
  • Internal and external communications (i.e banks, vendors, regulatory agencies)
  • Assisting in coordination of SAP projects in Accounting and Treasury areas for EMEA
  • Review work performed by Accounting Clerk and coaching

Core Skills/experience

  • Degree in Accounting, Management or Economics
  • 2 years’ experience in a similar function
  • Preferred experience with accounts in multiple European countries
  • Solid Microsoft Office skills, especially with Excel
  • Knowledge of ERP based systems, preferably SAP 
  • Understanding of US GAAP
