Senior Accountant w/ Native level of Spanish

Our client is looking for a senior accountant for their markets worldwide. You will be supervising other accountants and bookkeepers, produce reports and if any new project will arise within the Finance department, you will be supporting as well. 

Main Responsibilities

  • Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury and general ledger entries
  • Supervision, training, and follow-up of accountants and bookkeepers
  • Review and prepare if needed bank reconciliation(s), petty cash reconciliation(s), fixed assets register(s)
  • Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
  • Maintain the books and the statutory accounts of the Legal Entities(s) under his/her responsibility
  • Follow-up of the Legal Entity(s) costs under his/her responsibility
  • Ensure a proper booking, liquidation, and follow-up of taxes
  • Assist with tax audits and tax returns
  • Assist with internal and external audits
  • Support month-end and year-end close process
  • Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
  • Liaise with the different departments to ensure the reliability of the data, meeting deadlines and accuracy of the data provided
  • Be an active part to ensure the proper right levels of internal control are met and implemented
  • Review, develop and document business processes and accounting processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Support the Accounting Manager in any specific project that would arise within the Accounting / Finance function

Core Skills/experience

  • +3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Bachelor´s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Process optimization oriented
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
  • You are accurate and reliable
  • Used to work under pressure and deliver as per the expected deadlines
  • Strong prioritization skills
  • Problem solving, proactive, hands-on mentality
A plus if you have:
  • Experience with SalesForce
