Sales & Operations Manager w/ Native level of Spanish

Are you passionate about the transport world, and want to be part of an ambitious project? If you have a minimum of 3 years of experience managing sales and operations in an international organization and are fluent in Spanish and English, then keep reading because we have a challenging position for you!

Our client is an independent express courier with its head office in Germany. From a single line-haul line from Hamburg to Brussels, the company soon developed into the premium supplier of urgent freight in Europe. With over 100 overnight connections and a diverse range of express handling services for time-sensitive freight, nowadays our client is one of the key players in this segment.
They are now setting up their offices in Barcelona, and they need you to get things up and running!

Main Responsibilities

  • Integration of the company's service in Barcelona
  • Organizing the international traffic (of our own network) and distribution
  • Creating market studies to establish competitive rates according to the client
  • Preparing transport offers
  • Visiting potential customers as required
  • Negotiating with suppliers
  • Price negotiation
  • Contracting management
  • Managing the resolution of transport incidents
  • Coordinating with other areas of international operations to guarantee excellent service (internal and external)
  • Daily management of transport and distribution operations

Core Skills/experience

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role, managing sales, and operations
  • Experience in the transport or logistics sector
  • Dynamic and responsible attitude with excellent skills of organization and analysis
  • Management and planning skills, with proactive problem-solving skills
  • Driving license
  • Knowledge of MS Office software
