Our client has changed the way student accommodations work around the UK and now they are ready to expand themselves within Spain, ensuring not only the best student experience on the market but also the safest place to live. This new and exciting role holds responsibility for launching a successful student accommodation brand in a new market.  

We are looking for a passionate and multidisciplinary leader who will be able to manage a soon-to-be-opened residence. 

As residence manager, you will be in charge of the financial, sales and marketing of the brand for the residence. You will be responsible for maintaining the high standards in terms of service and security of the company. Finally, you will ensure the maintenance of compliance with legislation, procedures and best practice while maximising rental income and reducing operating costs. 



Main Responsibilities

  • Direct responsibility for the financial performance of the residence
  • Manage the sales and marketing of the residence.
  • Organise social events, overseeing the local implementation of a centrally planned calendar
  • Provide support to brand marketing campaigns
  • Maintain health and safety compliance
  • Manage and maintain the property to brand standards, procuring the necessary goods and services
  • Initiate and nurture close links with universities and other educational institutions
  • Recruit and manage the on-site accommodation team
  • Report directly to the Operations Manager different performance indicators. 

Core Skills/experience

  • Be an experienced, energetic and enthusiastic manager with experience in a customer-facing industry – ideally hospitality
  • Be able to influence and develop relationships with both internal colleagues and external clients
  • Possess high personal standards and attention to detail
  • Possess excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Be highly self-motivated and flexible
