As a Senior Accountant & Reporting specialist, based in Barcelona, you will play a vital role in overseeing daily financial transactions, ensuring the reliability of the reporting information, and the preparation of the consolidated financial statements for 2 subsidiaries. Main Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily financial transactions (AP, AR, GL, BR)
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards
  • Coordinate corporate tax preparation and assist external auditors during annual audits
  • Identify and recommend updates to enhance accounting processes and procedures
  • Manage monthly closing calendars for the group subsidiaries and ensure timely reporting processes
  • Manage the intercompany process and contribute to cash forecasting and budgeting
  • Monitor and manage the group's cash position, including currency sales and bank relationships
  • Establish and maintain accounting procedures for internal control, acting as an SAP key user 
  • Oversee third-party accounting providers

Core Skills/experience

  • Degree in Economics/Finance/Business Administration or similar education
  • 5+  years of hands-on experience in all the relevant functions within finance (accounting, consolidation, taxes, reporting, etc) or 5 years in auditing
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with Spanish and French GAAP
  • Proficiency with SAP
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular of Excel
  • Good communication skills, critical thinking, teamwork, and attention to detail
  • Adaptability to handle varied tasks in a start-up environment
  • Self-motivated, autonomous, with a strong work ethic, and willing to roll-up one's sleeves to get the job done
