Our client, Sunhero is a residential solar energy company on a mission to make access to clean, PV solar energy easy and affordable. They leverage technology and innovation to accelerate the transition to clean energy.

Sunhero was founded in 2021 by Christopher Cederskog and Stefan Braun. Two entrepreneurs with over 25 years of experience launching companies in the international markets, including Airbnb, Rover, and Course Hero. Sunhero is Berlin-funded and Barcelona-headquartered.

They raised a series A investment round of 10M€ in March 2023 and therefore are looking to hire a Salesforce Developer to join their team in Barcelona.

Main Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Developer with at least 18 months of experience working with Salesforce, APEX, and APIs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cooperate with the Salesforce Product Manager to validate business requirements and any considerations (security, scalability, limits).
  • Develop custom User Interfaces, including Visualforce pages/Lightning pages, Aura Components, and Lightning Web Components.
  • Design and develop custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning components.
  • Develop Flow solutions that can be maintained by business superusers.
  • Build efficient pipelines to work with Salesforce and code hosting platforms such as GitHub.
  • Integrate Salesforce with third-party apps and APIs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues with Salesforce solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Help refactor existing APEX code base to optimize performance and scalability.
  • Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency.
  • Work on all stages of software development; model, implementation, and delivery.

Core Skills/experience

  • At least 18 months of experience working with Salesforce, Apex, and REST APIs.
  • Experience building efficient pipelines to work with Salesforce and code hosting platforms such as GitHub (without using any external tool like Copado and similar) is a plus.
  • Experience with Salesforce Flow development.
  • Proficient with the Salesforce development lifecycle.
  • Ensure proper test coverage for all APEX code base.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture and data model.
  • Strong knowledge of git and git workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps practices.
  • Deep understanding of APIs and how they integrate with websites and applications.
  • Hands-on experience with TDD is a strong plus.
  • Used to work with Scrum agile principles and methodologies.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with third-party apps and APIs.
  • Salesforce Developer certification is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of computer theory, design, and architectural patterns and algorithms.

Note: This is a remote/hybrid position. You can work completely remotely if you prefer. We have a beautiful office in downtown Barcelona, where you are welcome to work if that suits you. We are hiring either a full-time employee (FTE) or a contractor for this role. If you are based in Germany or Spain, we can offer an FTE role. In case you are based outside these jurisdictions, we can offer a contractor position through Deel.
