We are currently seeking an NLP Engineer to join the dynamic knowledge extraction team of an amazing company with a big AI platform, updated legal information, and a global scope (over 70 countries). Their customers include legal professionals, academics, enterprises, and governments.

Main Responsibilities

  • Design and implement robust data pipelines for efficient data tagging and extraction at scale
  • Tackle complex issues within an international team that sets high standards for both software and data quality
  • Work across the entire NLP stack, implementing new features and continually enhancing existing capabilities
  • Write and maintain reliable code with excellent code coverage
  • Perform thorough data analysis and exploration to gain insights into the legal domain
  • Collaborate closely with downstream product teams to conceptualize data tagging requirements

Core Skills/experience

  • Proficiency in Python and Java programming languages
  • A college degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience (3+ years) in software engineering roles, including well-designed, well-commented, and well-tested software development
  • Familiarity with Natural Language Processing (NLP) projects is a plus but not required
  • Experience with Apache Spark and AWS for developing NLP pipelines
  • Comfortable working in an agile and iterative team environment
  • Self-driven, fast learner, enthusiastic about mastering new technologies as needed
