Main Responsibilities

  • Develop, deploy and maintain scalable networking solutions to tackle diverse business challenges effectively.
  • Install, configure and maintain various network devices and services such as routers, switches, firewalls and load balancers.
  • Collaborate with Engineering teams to automate and re-engineer existing processes for efficient network operation.
  • Configure and administer network monitoring tools to ensure optimal network performance.
  • Conduct network maintenance and upgrades, including security configurations, patches, and hot fixes.
  • Monitor system resource utilization, capacity planning, and ensure system reliability and availability.
  • Provide Level 3 support to troubleshoot network failures and performance issues.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to cover all of the above responsibilities.

Core Skills/experience

  • Hold a Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Telecom.
  • Possess a minimum of 8 years of experience in a Lead Infrastructure position.
  • Have at least 3 years of experience in a similar Automation position.
  • Experienced in leading technical projects.
  • Possess hands-on experience in Cisco switching and routing (BGP/OSPF), Fortinet and Palo Alto firewalls, HA Proxy, F5 load balancer, SHAPE Security and HSM (Hardware Security Module), VPN solutions (AnyConnect, IPSEC, SSL) and a deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g. 802.1 NAC, TACACS ISE).
  • Possess advanced and in-depth knowledge of F5 BIG-IP components and operations, including Virtual server and Pool creation, SSL Profiles and operation, Advanced iRules operation and creation, including bypass logic,
  • Be familiar with discovering all the web application entry and end points after discussions with the application owners and translating web and mobile high-value transaction flows into sequence diagrams.
  • Configure and administer F5, SHAPE Security, HSM, and HA Proxy in a multi-vendor environment.
  • Be familiar with the responsibilities of an SRE (Site Reliability Engineer) role that focuses on availability, capacity, monitoring, performance, and automation of the infrastructure and technologies used in day-to-day operations.
  • Be able to communicate clearly, both in writing and verbally, the high-value transaction flows to colleagues.
  • Be familiar with authentication concepts and technologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including active listening, to foster positive relationships with colleagues and management.
  • Strong prioritization skills to effectively manage workload.
