Our client, present across Europe, is dedicated to providing enriching experiences to their visitors. They are seeking a hands-on General Manager to oversee and manage the daily operations of their Barcelona branch and ensure the seamless functioning of the establishment, while maximizing the brand’s growth, and reporting to the HQ. If you are energetic, creative, a team player, and willing to go the extra mile, we are waiting to meet you!  

Languages

  • Full professional level of Spanish 
  • Full professional level of English
  • Any proficiency in Catalan and Dutch will be a plus
Barcelona

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations
  • Lead, guide, and inspire the team of Barcelona to challenge the status quo, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and excellence across the organization
  • Develop and maintain a skilled workforce
  • Uphold high standards of service to ensure exceptional customer experiences
  • Implement commercial strategies to optimize revenue and enhance overall performance
  • Ensure the safety and cleanliness of our premises, for a welcoming environment
  • Take responsibility for P&L and cost optimization
  • Develop and implement policies and protocols to ensure the safety and security of staff and customers
  • Draw up, maintain, and check personnel schedules and budgets
  • Foster positive relationships with stakeholders (suppliers, partners and local authorities), and discuss contracts with providers to maintain the level of quality
  • Be the point of contact for any permits, applications, and municipal issues
  • Coordinate logistics, staffing, and resources for events and activities to align with the brand's vision

Core Skills/experience

  • +7 years of relevant experience in operations management, with a proven track record of delivery within a fast-paced operations environment
  • An engaging leader with excellent communication and people skills, with experience in developing high-performing teams
  • Experience working with cross-border companies, and reporting to an international HQ, is considered a plus
  • Good awareness and understanding of operating in an international environment, able to delegate tasks, provide feedback, influence, and foster a collaborative and inclusive atmosphere
  • Self-motivated, diplomatic, with strategic acumen, able to manage complex issues, develop effective solutions and implement initiatives
  • User of Microsoft package and Project Management tools
