Our client is looking for a Construction Project Manager to own the strategy and execution of new openings and refurbishment projects. This person will be in charge from the planning stage, gaining permission and licenses until handover.

Main Responsibilities

Lead negotiations with key contractors and subcontractors according to the specifications of each project.
Coordinate and report all relevant parties involved in the project: strategic definition, preparation and brief, concept design, developed design, technical design, and procurement.
Be on top of all cost and time management, ensuring all record-keeping throughout the project is updated.
Anticipate problems that could arise, minimizing their impact on the time and budget, and overall quality.
Understand the complexity of the supply chain and dominate the procurement management side of the build.
Deliver a successful handover and closeout.

Core Skills/experience

3-4 years of experience in the Retail or Food & Beverage sector.
Successful track record of marketing initiatives that drive revenue.
Technical understanding of construction.
Knowledge of building codes, trade sequencing, and best building practices.
Communication skills to work with different people such as contractors, subcontractors, city inspectors, architects, and suppliers.
Experience in cost estimating, cost control and analysis to ensure the project does not go over the proposed costs.
Strong judgment to make major decisions for construction projects and understanding the implications of their choices.
Ability and availability to travel.
Fluent in Spanish and proficient in English.
